N&MC exam goes online

The Ministry of Health has announced the postponement of the Centralized Nursing and Midwifery Licensing Examinations to September 4, 2025, citing concerns over the risks associated with extensive travel to designated examination centers. In a statement signed by Tony Goodman, Deputy Director and Spokesperson, the Ministry explained that the exams will now be conducted in respective training institutions to ensure smooth participation and effective supervision by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

This decision follows a consultative meeting between the Minister for Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the NMC, and the Conference of Heads of Health Training Institutions (COHHETI). Minister Akandoh emphasized that the new directive prioritizes candidates’ safety and well-being, while also ensuring fairness and proper monitoring of the exams.
