President John Dramani Mahama Arrives in Singapore for Three-Day State Visit

President John Dramani Mahama has touched down in Singapore this afternoon (morning in Ghana) for a three-day State Visit, which aims to enhance bilateral cooperation, boost trade and investment, and foster partnerships in education, science and innovation, urban solutions, agribusiness, and the digital economy.

Throughout his visit, President Mahama is set to engage in bilateral talks with the President of Singapore, H.E. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and the Prime Minister, The Hon. Lawrence Wong. Additionally, he will present the keynote address at the 8th Africa–Singapore Business Forum (ASBF) and lead a Ghana-specific Investment and Business Forum, gathering leaders from both the public and private sectors to explore new opportunities between Ghana and Singapore.
Upon his arrival, President Mahama remarked: “Ghana and Singapore share a progressive vision rooted in innovation, skills, and enterprise. This visit will turn our common values into actionable cooperation—bringing Singaporean investment and expertise into Ghana’s key sectors while creating new avenues for Ghanaian businesses throughout Southeast Asia.”

Accompanying the president are Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs; Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Advisor and Special Aide to the President; Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare (MP), Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry; and Haruna Iddrisu (MP), Minister for Education.
The delegation also includes Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of State for Government Communications; Simon Madjie, Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; and Francis Kwarteng Arthur, Chief Executive of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority.
