Seth Offei launches bid for NPP Amasaman Secretary, pledges stronger grassroots structures

Seth Offei has declared his candidacy for Constituency Secretary of the New Patriotic Party in the Amasaman Constituency, ahead of the upcoming internal elections.

Campaigning under the theme "New Energy, New Ideas" and the slogan “Experience. Knowledge. Integrity,” Offei is positioning himself as the candidate to strengthen party structures, improve accountability, and prepare the constituency for electoral success.

Experience and Academic Background

Offei brings both academic and political experience to the race. He holds a First Class Bachelor of Education in Language from Valley View University (VVU) and is currently pursuing an MPhil in English at the University of Ghana and an MA in Strategic Communication and Marketing at the African University College of Communications.

He also holds certificates in Labour Law from Presbyterian University and in Public Policy, Management, and Governance from IRIRS. He completed his secondary education at Osei Tutu SHS and basic education at Joy Standard School.

Within the NPP, he has served as a member of the National Communications Team, the Greater Accra Regional Communications Team, and the Amasaman Constituency Communications Team. He was part of the constituency’s 2024 campaign team and served as Personal Assistant to the NPP’s 2024 parliamentary candidate, Yahya Kassim Atta. His grassroots roles include Presiding Officer, Party Agent, and Acting Polling Station Secretary.

Nine-Point Agenda

If elected, Offei says his priority will be to unite the party base and create equitable opportunities for members. His nine-point plan includes:

Uniting for Victory – fostering cohesion and fairness within the constituency.

Regular Meetings – ensuring quarterly constituency, monthly electoral area, and weekly polling station meetings are held as required.

Accountability – providing regular updates and reports to party members.

Leadership Development – grooming Amasaman patriots for leadership roles beyond the constituency level.

Training for Executives – equipping polling station executives to perform effectively.

Electoral Area Engagement – visiting all electoral areas to develop area-specific working documents.

Constituency Assets – revisiting the issue of the party’s land at Toman as custodian of constituency properties.

Membership Drive – launching a massive mobilization campaign to grow the party base.

Security – building a strong constituency security team ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The NPP internal elections for the Amasaman Constituency are expected to take place later this year. Delegates will elect new executives to lead the party into the next electoral cycle.
