The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has congratulated all newly elected Regional Executives following the party’s successful regional elections held across the country.

In a press release issued by his office on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia commended the peaceful conduct of the elections, describing it as a reaffirmation of the NPP’s commitment to internal democracy and respect for the will of party members.

The NPP Flagbearer expressed confidence that the new regional leadership will provide the direction needed to strengthen the party’s structures and position it for victory in the 2028 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

Dr. Bawumia also applauded all candidates who contested, and urged those who were unsuccessful to rally behind the newly elected executives in the interest of party unity.

“The regional contest is over, the greater task is unity and renewed energy to secure victory in 2028 and it begins now,” the statement said.

The regional elections saw several key wins, including Odeneho Kwaku Appiah “COKA” in Ashanti Region, Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye in Greater Accra, and Kwame Baffoe “Abronye DC” retaining the Bono Region chairmanship.

The party is expected to hold elections for National Officers on October 3rd, 2026.
