Mahama’s AU Chairmanship Committee presents five reports, says tenure will be transformative

The High-Level Committee of Experts established by President John Dramani Mahama to prepare a Strategy Document, Priority Pillars and Work Programme for his 2027 African Union (AU) Chairmanship has concluded its mandate.

The Committee presented Five Reports to the President at the Presidency on Friday.

The handover was done by the Chair of the Committee, who presented highlights of the reports to President Mahama.

According to the Committee, President Mahama’s tenure as AU Chair is expected to be transformative and impactful due to the rigorous preparatory work underway and his bold vision for the continent.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to serve Ghana and Africa,” the Chair stated.

The Committee conveyed its best wishes to President Mahama ahead of his assumption of office as AU Chair in January 2027.
