Mahama meets Alex Soros in New York ahead of Global Foundations Roundtable

President John Dramani Mahama began his engagements on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly in New York with a meeting with Alex Soros, Chairman and Founder of the Open Society Foundations (OSF), on Sunday.

Mr. Soros, an investor and philanthropist who has previously engaged with President Mahama, and his organisation are interested in exploring partnerships and providing support for ECOWAS integration efforts.

Sunday’s meeting preceded a planned presidential roundtable the Foundation is coordinating with a select group of global foundation presidents and CEOs, including Gates, Ford, OSF, Hewlett Packard, Hilton, Rockefeller, Humanity United, Anglo American, Chandler, and UBS Optimus, among others.
