Bawumia joins Dagomba Community for Final Funeral Rites of Late Dagomba Chief of Accra

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Sunday joined the Dagomba community and Muslims from diverse backgrounds in Accra for the adua (final funeral rites) of the late Dagomba Chief of Accra, Alhaji Abdul Kadir Tahir, popularly known as Sheikh Tahir.

In a tribute to the late chief, Dr. Bawumia described Sheikh Tahir as a selfless, unifying traditional leader and a knowledgeable Islamic cleric who dedicated his life to preaching righteousness and praying for others.

He said he personally benefited from Sheikh Tahir’s prayers, selflessness, and wise counsel on many occasions.

Dr. Bawumia prayed for Allah to grant the late chief Jannatul Firdaus.
