Mahama reaffirms commitment to equitable development, assures Ahafo of more investments

Goaso, Ahafo Region
President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to ensuring equitable development across the country, with a firm assurance to residents of the Ahafo Region of sustained investment in critical sectors.
The President gave the assurance on Saturday during a Citizens’ Engagement in Goaso, which marked the climax of his two-day #ResettingGhana Tour of the Ahafo Region.

Addressing a gathering of traditional leaders, stakeholders and residents, President Mahama expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of the region for their support during the 2024 General Election.

He outlined key policy interventions being rolled out by his administration to reset the economy and improve livelihoods, with a focus on road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, agricultural modernization and economic recovery.
President Mahama announced that the government will expand its road rehabilitation and construction programme to all 16 regional capitals ahead of Ghana’s 70th Independence Anniversary.

He added that his administration is also implementing initiatives to improve access to primary healthcare and specialized medical treatment for all Ghanaians, regardless of location.

The Citizens’ Engagement forms part of President Mahama’s nationwide tour to interact directly with Ghanaians, listen to their concerns, and communicate his vision for resetting Ghana.
