Bawumia Engages Artisans, Trade Groups on Job Creation

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says he held fruitful discussions with the leadership of various trade and artisan associations to deliberate on challenges facing their businesses.

The groups included the Ghana Artisans Association, hairdressers and beauticians, tailors and dressmakers, barbers, and representatives from the construction and building materials industry.

According to Dr. Bawumia, given the huge potential for job creation in these sectors, it is critical to support their growth, particularly in the areas of training and certification, adoption of solar power, access to credit, and a simplified tax regime.
He expressed his appreciation to all representatives for making time to attend the meeting.
