Barcelona Set to Face Chelsea, Newcastle, and PSG in UEFA Champions League Group Stage

English Premier League team Chelsea FC faces a daunting task in the preliminary round of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League season.
Chelsea, who secured the FIFA Club World Cup title in the offseason with a decisive 3-0 victory over French club Paris Saint-Germain, will compete against the formidable German teams Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona.
In addition to facing PSG, who claimed every title except the FIFA Club World Cup in the 2024-2025 season, Barcelona will also go up against EPL rivals Newcastle United.
The draw took place on Thursday, August 28, with the Basque club set to face Club Brugge (Belgium), FC Copenhagen (Denmark), Olympiakos (Greece), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany), and Slavia Prague (Czech Republic).
