The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has reportedly apprehended Kofi Akpaloo, the leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), at his location in Kumasi.

Sources indicate that the early morning operation was executed by EOCO’s Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit (SARU) from their Headquarters in Accra, in collaboration with the agency’s Ashanti Regional Office.

Insiders reveal that the arrest was made without any incidents.

While the exact reasons for the arrest are still unclear, it is reported that the suspect is en route to Accra, where he is anticipated to assist investigators with ongoing inquiries.

EOCO has yet to issue an official statement regarding the situation.
