Education Director Declares Oweriagya Circuit Insult-Free, Advises Students on Responsible Behavior
The Municipal Education Director for Asante Akim Central, Mr. George Sarfo Kantanka, recently conducted a visit to schools in the Oweriagya Circuit at Patriensa, under the theme: Meet The Director. During this visit, he tackled several urgent issues impacting students within the municipality.

While addressing the students, the Director proclaimed his municipality as an insult-free zone, underscoring the significance of respectful communication among peers.
He pointed out the hazards associated with galamsey (illegal mining) and called on students to act as ambassadors in the fight against this practice, asserting that it is the sole solution to the problem.
Additionally, the Director urged students to focus on their academic pursuits, embrace responsible methods of wealth creation, and develop a habit of saving money.
He cautioned students, particularly girls, about the dangers of romantic relationships, teenage pregnancy, and abortion, encouraging them to report any teachers who make inappropriate advances.

Mr. Sarfo Kantanka stressed the necessity of steering clear of examination malpractices and motivated students to uphold high academic standards.
He also interacted with students, addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding academic matters and the issues he raised in his speech. This engagement aimed to foster a supportive learning environment and provide guidance on critical issues affecting students in the municipality.
