The final funeral rites for late Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo will now be held at the forecourt of the State House in Accra, her family has announced.

This marks a change from the original arrangement, which had scheduled the service at the Lashibi Funeral Home. According to a new funeral poster released by the family, the decision was made to accommodate the large number of people expected to attend and pay their last respects.

The funeral is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. at the State House forecourt. Following the service, a private burial will take place. Details of the burial location have not been made public, as the family has requested privacy for that part of the ceremony.

In addition to the funeral, a thanksgiving service has been planned for Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Action Chapel International. The family said the service will be an opportunity to celebrate Beverly’s life, her faith, and the impact she made during her time on earth.

Beverly Afaglo died on May 24, 2026, at the age of 42. She passed away just four days before she would have turned 43. Her sudden death sent shockwaves through Ghana’s entertainment and business communities.

Over the years, Beverly built a name for herself both on screen and off screen. As an actress, she was known for her versatility and strong screen presence in several Ghanaian and Nigerian productions. As an entrepreneur, she ventured into business and was admired for her drive, creativity, and ability to balance motherhood, career, and enterprise.

Her passing sparked an outpouring of tributes from colleagues in the film industry, friends, and fans across the country and beyond. Many described her as vibrant, hardworking, and full of life. Others remembered her warmth, her sense of humor, and the way she supported younger actors trying to find their footing in the industry.

Beverly is survived by her husband and their two children. The family said they have been overwhelmed by the love and support they have received since her passing and remain grateful for the prayers and messages of condolence.

In the funeral announcement, the family invited relatives, friends, colleagues, industry players, and well-wishers to join them at the State House to honor Beverly’s memory. “Come celebrate the life of a woman who lived boldly, loved deeply, and inspired many,” the notice stated.

With the new venue confirmed, organizers are expected to put measures in place to manage the crowd expected for the August 8 service.
