1. 620,000 Students pick SHS….. New CSSPS guidelines: Selection process ends Friday

Over 620,000 BECE graduates have begun selecting their second cycle schools under new CSSPS guidelines introduced by the Ministry of Education and GES. The new system allows students to choose schools after BECE results are released, to ensure placement is based on grades and reduce the chaos at resolution centres. The selection process ends on Friday.

2. President Mahama, Jamaican leaders hold talks to deepen cooperation

President John Mahama held talks with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and other Jamaican leaders. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation between Ghana and Jamaica. See page 13 for details.

3. BoG directs banks to scale down NPLs to 10%
