Otumfuo Osei Tutu II leaves Ghana for Millennium Excellence Week America 2026

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has left Ghana for the United States to headline the Millennium Excellence Week America 2026.

His Majesty departed Ghana on Sunday, August 23, 2026, and was seen off by some traditional authorities and government officials.

The week-long celebration is being organized by the Millennium Excellence Foundation under the theme of culture, leadership, business and heritage.

The program of activities begins today, Monday, August 24, with the MEA Otumfuo Golf Invitational at 1700 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA.

On Tuesday, August 25, the Asantehene will deliver a Royal Guest Lecture at the Cramton Auditorium, 2400 6th St NW, Washington, DC.

From Thursday to Friday, August 27-28, focus will shift to the Africa Business Investment Summit at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland.

The celebration will climax on Saturday, August 29, with the flagship Millennium Excellence Awards at the Warner Theatre in Washington, DC.
