Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the successful organization of its 2026 National Annual Delegates Conference in Kumasi.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the former President congratulated the outgoing National Executive Committee led by former Acting National Chairman Danquah Smith Buttey, as well as the National Officers Elections Committee chaired by Hon. Frederick Opare-Ansah, and all delegates for the successful conduct of the conference.

“The Conference has, once again, demonstrated the vibrancy of the New Patriotic Party’s internal democratic processes,” Akufo-Addo stated.

He also extended warm congratulations to the newly elected national executive officers led by new Chairman John Boadu, wishing them a fruitful mandate.

According to the former President, the conclusion of the conference must mark the beginning of a progressive march of the party’s collective aspirations as “One Party, with One Purpose, United for Victory.”

“The time has come for all hands on deck so that the Party can emerge victorious from the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections to enable a new NPP government under the leadership of the NPP’s Presidential Candidate, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, to be formed to promote the rule of law and the welfare of the ordinary Ghanaian,” he said.

He ended with a prayer: “May God bless the New Patriotic Party and may God bless our homeland Ghana and make her great and strong.”
