Greater Accra NDC Regional Elections: 830 aspirants pick up forms as incumbents seek re-election

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region has recorded about 830 aspirants who have picked nomination forms to contest various positions in the upcoming regional elections.
Speaking to Channel One News, the party’s Deputy Director of Elections, Mahdi Gibril, said the nomination form-picking stage has ended, paving the way for aspirants to complete the filing process.
“About 830 aspirants have picked forms to contest for various positions. The majority of the incumbent executives have picked nominations,” he noted.

According to Mr. Gibril, aspirants must now pay their filing fees and submit their documents through the party’s online platform.
He explained that those who complete the online process will be required to submit their full nomination documents physically to the Election Committee between October 14 and 15.
He added that the online platform remains accessible to aspirants who have picked forms but are yet to pay their filing fees or complete the online submission process.
The regional elections form part of the NDC’s broader reorganization ahead of future national polls.
