The National Council of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended the polling station election process in the Amasaman Constituency until further notice.

The decision was taken at a National Council meeting held on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

In a letter signed by the Party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, the Council said it acted after considering a petition from some aggrieved members in the constituency and following a recommendation from the Regional Party.

“The National Council has directed that the polling station election process in the Amasaman Constituency be suspended until further notice,” the statement said.

Mr. Frimpong added that the Party counts on the cooperation of all stakeholders.
