GES interdicts Bole SHS teacher over alleged misconduct with student, launches investigation

The Ghana Education Service, GES, has interdicted a teacher at Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region over an alleged case of misconduct involving a student, and has begun investigations into the matter.
In a statement dated June 16, 2026, and signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations, GES said management became aware of a video circulating on social media showing alleged inappropriate conduct between a teacher and a student of Bole SHS.
Actions taken by GES
According to the statement, management has initiated investigations into the incident. Pending the outcome, the teacher has been interdicted in line with GES rules and regulations.
GES said it strongly condemns all forms of relationships between teachers and students. “The Service reiterates its zero-tolerance towards sexual misconduct and cautions all staff to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct at all times,” the statement read.
Student welfare emphasized
The Service said it remains committed to ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of all students within the educational system. It added that appropriate disciplinary and legal action will be taken against any individual found culpable after investigations.
GES assured the public that the matter is being treated with seriousness and that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
