Zoomlion launches 8-day disinfection exercise in Central Region after floods

Zoomlion Ghana Limited has launched an eight-day disinfection and disinfestation exercise across 22 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Central Region.
The exercise is aimed at curbing the spread of water- and vector-borne diseases following recent flooding in parts of the region.

The operation targets schools, markets, health facilities, public toilets and other flood-affected areas identified as high-risk zones for disease outbreaks.

According to the company, the intervention will help eliminate harmful bacteria, vectors and pathogens that thrive after floods, thereby protecting public health and ensuring safe environments for residents.
The exercise forms part of Zoomlion’s broader support for government efforts to mitigate the health impact of flooding in affected communities.
