NDC congratulates NPP on the successful election of National Executives

Accra, October 5, 2026
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the successful election of its new national executives over the weekend.
In a statement signed by its General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, and issued from the Jerry John Rawlings House in Accra, the NDC said it remains committed to the promotion of peaceful political engagement and democratic values.
“The NDC remains committed to the promotion of peaceful political engagement, democratic values and the collective responsibility of all political actors to protect and deepen Ghana’s democratic gains,” the statement said.
The NDC expressed hope that under the tenure of the new NPP leadership, both parties would work to place national interest above partisan considerations.
“It is the fervent hope of the NDC that under the tenure of this new crop of executives, there will be mutual effort to ensure that the interest of Ghana always surpasses the narrow interest of the two respective parties, so the mission of making Ghana great and strong will be boosted,” it added.
The NPP elected its new national officers, including John Boadu as National Chairman, at its national delegates conference held over the weekend to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
