MP Alhasan S. Tampuni Donates Motorbikes, Learning Materials to GES, GHS in Gushegu; Supports Conflict-Hit Communities
Member of Parliament for Gushegu, Alhasan S. Tampuni, has donated five motorbikes each to the Municipal Directorates of the Ghana Education Service and Ghana Health Service to support monitoring and supervision in the constituency.

Speaking at the presentation at the Gushegu Community Center, Mr. Tampuni commended teachers and health workers for their dedication despite the challenges of covering Gushegu, the largest constituency by land size. “What takes others a day can take you days on monitoring rounds,” he said, pledging continued support to both institutions.

He also presented 1,225 mathematical sets to GES Municipal Director Lawrence Iddrisu for distribution to BECE candidates ahead of next week’s exams. Both Mr. Iddrisu and GHS Director George Abraham expressed gratitude and assured that the motorbikes would be well-maintained.

Later, the MP visited Bosum No.1, Pabuni, Nagnani, Jimbali, and Tindong — communities recently hit by conflict — to commiserate with chiefs and residents. He urged peace and non-violent conflict resolution, and donated 60 bags of cement and 30 packets of roofing sheets to help rebuild damaged homes.

The intervention follows clashes weeks ago over a chieftaincy dispute that led to a curfew in parts of the constituency.
