The Mid-West Ghana Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church marked its 40th Anniversary in Sunyani on Saturday, with a high-level government presence.

The former Vice President and Flagbearer of NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumiah, joined the celebration as Guest of Honour, commending the SDA Church for its role as “a pillar in Ghana.”

“The SDA Church continues to champion interfaith tolerance and transform lives through its work in morals, character building, health, and education,” the Guest of Honour said.

The Mid-West Ghana Conference, established in 1986, has grown to become a key administrative arm of the SDA Church in Ghana, operating schools, hospitals, and community outreach programs across the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions.

The anniversary celebration brought together church leaders, members, and dignitaries to reflect on four decades of ministry and service.
