TGMA returns to Grand Arena after initial move to La Palm

Organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) have confirmed a last-minute venue change for the 27th edition of the event scheduled for this Saturday, May 9, 2026.

The ceremony, initially announced to take place at the Palms Convention Centre at the La Palm Beach Hotel, will now be held at the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The Grand Arena has traditionally hosted the awards and is widely associated with some of Ghana’s biggest entertainment events, offering the scale and production capacity the ceremony demands.

Organisers did not disclose reasons for the change, but the move returns the event to a more established venue known for handling large audiences and high-profile productions.

This year’s edition is expected to feature performances, major award presentations, and appearances from leading figures in Ghana’s music industry.

Fans and industry stakeholders are now preparing for the ceremony, which returns to its familiar home this weekend.
