Firefighters Contain Domestic Blaze in Salaga, No Casualties Reported

Firefighters in the Savannah Region contained a house fire at Salaga on Tuesday after a rapid response prevented it from spreading.

The Salaga Fire Station received a distress call at 10:45 a.m. reporting a fire at the residence of Faridu, popularly known as “Dadie,” in the Power House suburb.

A five-member crew was dispatched immediately and arrived within minutes. Firefighters brought the blaze under control and fully extinguished it, limiting further damage.
While several personal belongings, including stored cassava, maize, and yams, were destroyed, no casualties were recorded. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ghana National Fire Service.
