The National Secretariat has announced that constituency executive elections were successfully and peacefully conducted in 245 out of 276 constituencies across the country, representing an 88.7% success rate.

In a statement issued on Monday and signed by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party said the exercise was largely hitch-free and demonstrated the commitment of members to strengthening the party’s structures at the grassroots level.

“Out of the 276 constituencies, elections were successfully and peacefully conducted in 245 constituencies,” the statement said. “We extend our sincere appreciation to all Patriots for their commitment, discipline, and support, which contributed to the successful conduct of these elections.”

Despite the high success rate, elections in 31 constituencies could not be completed due to various challenges.

According to the Secretariat, elections in 23 constituencies were put on hold due to disputes. The party said these matters are being addressed through its internal dispute resolution mechanisms to ensure fairness and to protect the integrity of the process.

In four constituencies, elections could not take place at all due to last-minute challenges. The affected areas are Ningo Prampram, Atwima Mponua, Obuasi West, and Trobu. The Secretariat noted that new dates for the polls in those constituencies will be announced after outstanding logistical and administrative issues are resolved.

The statement further disclosed that the National Steering Committee will review election-related activities in four additional constituencies. They are Afigya Sekyere East, Adansi Asokwa, Bantama, and Asante Akyem Central. The review will consider reports and petitions received from stakeholders and determine the appropriate way forward in line with the party’s constitution.

Mr. Kodua Frimpong assured members that the National Secretariat remains committed to resolving all outstanding issues and ensuring that elections are held in every constituency.

“We are working to ensure that every constituency gets the opportunity to elect its executives in a free, fair, and transparent manner,” he stated.

Party executives and observers have described the conduct of the elections in the 245 constituencies as peaceful and orderly, with high participation from delegates. Many have cited the outcome as a positive indicator ahead of the party’s broader reorganization efforts.

The National Secretariat said it will continue engagements with regional and constituency executives to finalize arrangements for the outstanding elections in the coming weeks.
