Ministry of Education reschedules release of 2026/2027 School placement results to September 4
The Ministry of Education has rescheduled the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results.
In a press statement dated 30th August, 2026, the Ministry said the release, which was initially scheduled for Monday, 31st August 2026, has been moved to Friday, 4th September 2026.
According to the Ministry, the decision follows requests from some parents, guardians, students, and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data onto the platforms of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the CSSPS.
“This extension will enable all qualified students to complete the required processes and ensure their information is recorded in the system for placement in Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions,” the statement signed by Press Secretary Hashmin Mohammed said.
The Ministry disclosed that data available to it indicates that about 20,000 qualified students have not yet had their school choices uploaded to the CSSPS platform by their Heads of Schools, parents, or guardians.
“This extension is intended to ensure that pending data submissions do not prevent these students from participating in the placement process,” it added.
The Ministry has therefore strongly urged parents, guardians, students, and Heads of Schools to use the extension to submit and upload all outstanding information within the stipulated period.
“The Ministry remains committed to a fair, transparent, efficient, and orderly placement process that gives every qualified student a meaningful opportunity to secure placement in a Senior High School or TVET institution,” the statement concluded.
