Bawumia attends seventh-day adua of late Tolon Naa, Major (Rtd) Abubakari Sulemana

Former Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says he led a delegation on behalf of the New Patriotic Party (NPP: Development in Freedom) to attend the seventh-day adua of the late Tolon Naa, Major (Rtd) Abubakari Sulemana.

In a post shared on Friday, Dr. Bawumia said that before his enskinment as Tolon Naa, Major (Rtd) Sulemana was a respected member of the NPP who served under President Kufuor’s government and was equally admired within Ghana’s military circles.

According to him, he shared a close personal relationship with the late chief and often sought his wise counsel.”
As paramount chief, he distinguished himself through honesty, integrity and fairness, administering justice without fear or favour and placing the development of Tolon above all else,” Dr. Bawumia wrote.

He prayed that Allah would grant him eternal rest and comfort his family, subjects and the people of Dagbon.
