Ato Forson leads NDC 2028 flagbearer race with 32% – Global InfoAnalytics

Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has emerged as the early frontrunner to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) into the 2028 general elections, according to a new poll by Global InfoAnalytics.
The poll, which asked respondents “Who leads the NDC in 2028?”, puts Dr. Ato Forson in the lead with 32%.
He is followed by the National Chairman of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, who polled 23%.
A significant 28% of respondents said they were undecided, indicating the race remains wide open.
Other potential contenders polled as follows:
Haruna Iddrisu – 5%
Julius Debrah – 4%
Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang – 4%
Joshua Alabi – 2%Eric Opoku – 1%Someone else – 1%
According to Global InfoAnalytics, the poll was conducted with a 99% confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.17%.
The findings come as jostling intensifies within the governing NDC over who succeeds President John Dramani Mahama, who is serving his final term.
