Accra, Oct. 2, 2026 –
The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) says suspect Nana Baffour Agyei Awuah, who voluntarily surrendered to the Office on October 1, 2026, at 10 a.m., is cooperating with investigators as investigative, procedural and operational processes continue.
In a news release dated October 2, 2026 and signed by the Head of Corporate Affairs and Public Education for the Executive Director, EOCO said it is working with the Office of the Attorney-General to bring the suspect before a weekend court, mindful of constitutional timeframes and procedural requirements governing bail.
The Office also urged the public to disregard media reports claiming it had granted the suspect bail in the sum of GH₵50 million.
Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah voluntarily turned himself in to EOCO on Thursday, October 1.
