Adwoa Safo bows to brother: “I accept Israel Safo as leader of Kantanka Family and Kristo Asafo Church”
Former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo (Esq.), has called for family unity and reconciliation in the Safo family following the death of their father, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, Adwoa Safo said the time has come for the family to transcend differences and misunderstandings that characterized the immediate aftermath of their father’s demise.
According to her, she has chosen the path of conciliation, founded upon love, mutual respect, and the enduring bonds of family.
In a major declaration, the former MP publicly acknowledged and accepted her brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church.”
I have immense love and respect for my brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, and in the spirit of honouring our father’s wishes, I publicly acknowledge and accept him as the Leader of the Kantanka Family and the Kristo Asafo Church. He has my full support, and I state unequivocally that I am prepared and willing to work together with him in the interest of the family and the Church, in furtherance of our father’s Vision and Legacy,” the statement read.
Adwoa Safo noted that their father’s legacy transcends any one individual and is a collective inheritance and a profound responsibility entrusted to all his children.
She further encouraged all members of the Kristo Asafo Church and the larger Kantanka family and everyone associated with their father’s work to acknowledge and respect the unity of the family.
“I extend my sincere goodwill and best wishes to my brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo and to my other siblings on this renewed journey of peace and forgiveness. May this new chapter bring healing, unity and renewed strength as we come together to honour and advance the legacy of our beloved father,” she added.
The statement brings to an end a month of speculation about a succession rift in the Kantanka family after the passing of the renowned inventor and founder of the Kristo Asafo Church, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
