NDC opens nominations for 2026 Constituency Executive Elections

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the opening of nominations for its 2026 Constituency Executive Elections.
According to a press release from the National Secretariat dated 10th September, 2026 and signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, nominations will officially open on Tuesday, 15th September, 2026 in all constituencies across the country.
The party says this marks an important stage in its electoral process and has encouraged all members intending to contest various constituency executive positions to take advantage of the period.
Requirements for Nomination
The Secretariat stated that all payments for picking and filing shall be made strictly through the online portal forms.ghanandc.com, using mobile money via all networks.
Aspirants, Proposers, Seconders and Endorsers must:
- Be members in good standing of the Party; and
- Have fully settled their membership dues for the last four (4) years.
- Settle any outstanding arrears via _920_258# or ndc.org.gh/dues.
Campaigning Officially Opened
The party has also officially opened campaign activities for all aspirants contesting the 2026 internal elections at the Constituency, Regional and National levels.
Party officials, from Regional Officers and Constituency Officers to Ward Coordinators, have been directed to allow campaign activities by all aspirants.
The NDC clarified that the campaign window does not extend to persons pursuing Parliamentary ambitions, including sitting Members of Parliament and persons currently considering or expressing intention to contest Parliamentary elections. Such persons shall not engage in campaigning under this window, and any infraction will be dealt with per Party rules.
The National Secretariat has urged all constituencies, aspirants and members to conduct themselves with discipline and respect for the Party’s democratic values to ensure a transparent, peaceful and successful electoral process.
