Former Dormaa West MP Ali Maiga urges NPP to limit cameras: “Not everything must be put out”

Former Member of Parliament for Dormaa West, Ali Maiga Halidu, Esq., has humbly called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to limit the use of cameras during party activities.
In a message to party members, the former MP warned that the excessive filming and posting of internal meetings and movements is giving political opponents easy access to the party’s strategies.
“I humbly suggest we limit the cameras. Not everything must be put out. Our opponents can trace what we do easily,” he said.
Maiga noted that while social media has become an important tool for communication, the party must draw a line between public outreach and internal organization.

According to him, many sensitive discussions, strategies and movements are being exposed through videos and photos shared online, making it easy for opponents to monitor and counter the NPP’s plans.
The former Dormaa West MP therefore appealed to party executives, communicators and supporters to exercise discipline and keep internal matters internal.
“Let’s protect the party. What is meant for the party should stay in the party,” he added.
His call has sparked discussion among party supporters, with many agreeing that the party needs to be more strategic about what it shares in public as it prepares for future political activities.
