Police Declare Arabic Teacher Wanted for Defilement in Sekondi

Sekondi, Western Region – May 20, 2026 – The Western Regional Police Command has declared Sule Anas wanted for the alleged defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge of two minors at Fijai Zongo Central near Sekondi.

According to police, Anas, an Arabic teacher employed by community leaders to teach children on weekends, lured the victims into a storeroom inside the mosque under the pretext of performing spiritual cleansing. Investigators say he then sodomized and defiled the minors.

A warrant for Anas’s arrest was issued on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, by the Gender Court in Sekondi.

The suspect is described as fair in complexion and about 5 ft 7 in tall. Police say information suggests he may be hiding in Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.

The Western Regional Command is urging anyone with credible information on his whereabouts to contact the Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, the nearest police station, or call 191 or 112.

The case is being handled by the Western Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit.
