Pollster Musa Dankwa has released delegate poll results showing the current standings of top contenders in the National Democratic Congress [NDC] leadership race.

According to the poll, General Asiedu Nketia leads with 29%, followed by Ato Forson with 19%. Dankwa stated that the head-to-head results indicate the race between the two is the most competitive at this stage.

He explained that pollsters typically focus on the leading candidates based on available data rather than public sentiment. “When the personalities making it to the top change, the focus will also change,” he said.

Dankwa added that focusing on the leading candidates helps avoid accusations of bias, noting that data should remain the main criterion for analysis. He said the poll was published to provide clarity for delegates and the public, and that those who disagree with the findings are entitled to their view.

The pollster emphasized that the standings could change if new data emerges.
